Rain stayed away Saturday, but Blake Prince didn’t — firing a 67 to earn top honors at the Belleria Pizza Spring Singles event to launch the 2023 Greatest Golfer Season.
The East Liverpool/Cleveland State grad led 57 players, with George Allen’s 71 and 72s by Joe Cilone and Evan Listini right behind him in top flight gross play.
In Flight 2, Jay Pappas of East Liverpool fired a 75 to win his flight, with Kyle Firm and Rory Vandenberg at 78 and Joe Cubellis’ 79 right behind.
In Flight 3, salty veteran Kurt Beler posted a 79 to win, with Tyler Stanley at 80, and Rich Rosen and Hank Morris at 81.
The event paid top-two Gross and Net performances.
