Todd
As I sit here at the airport waiting to return to California, I can’t help but reflect back on this past week. Once again you have proven your passion for golf and dedication to the GGOV is unmatched. Thank you for finding a way to make this past weekend a memorable one in so many different ways.
I look forward to this tournament every year. Since I live in California, this tournament gives me an opportunity (more likely an excuse) to come back to the area I grew up in, play some golf, see family, and make new friends.
This year was extra special. Last October, the Cleveland Clinic diagnosed my oldest brother Jack with Stage 4 endocrine cancer. They gave him 1 to 2 weeks to live. Here we are 10 months later and he’s still with us. This tournament gave me a reason the spend more time with him.
All of the people at GGOV were very kind and gracious to him. Please thank everyone from Scotty at Reserve Run and Mike at both RR and Firestone and others for extending options to him to get a taste of the weekend. I can’t thank everyone too much.
As for me, I had another great time at this year’s GGOV.
Once again I did not “Make the Lake” as a player but I did get there as a caddy this year for my flight’s winner, Matt Bostian. What a thrill that was.
Matt and I will be friends forever – thanks to the GGOV.
You and your team do an incredible job orchestrating the event. Keep up the great work and I look forward to playing again next year.
Best regards,
Rance Garrett
