Registration is now open for the 2023 ‘Joe’ Dickey Electric Juniors Greatest Golfer season.
This is our lucky 13th season for the circuit, presented in partnership with our pals at Youngstown Tile.
The season opens in grand fashion the first two weekends in May.
WATCH THE WELCOME video here.
First, on May 7, we make our inaugural juniors appearance at the all-time home of the Greatest adults championship — The Lake Club. It is an honor to finally let the next generation of Valley golfers test their skills at the tough and tidy 18 holes along Evans Lake in Poland.
Then, on May 14 at Reserve Run, we have our awesome 2-player scramble event. Players can pair up with teammates, coaches, pals and parents to compete for a team win as well as for singles points for the Greatest juniors championship.
The registration page is here.
Rules for play, eligibility and format are (mostly) here.
Pricing is $65 per event; $50 per if you play in 5 or more; and $45 per if you play in all 10 Greatest events. There is no overall admission fee to the program; just the event fees per event. With the help of sponsors and courses, Greatest juniors remains the most affordable competitive play format in northern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.
These two events set the table for a season that sets full sail in mid-June for a march toward the Junior championships at Avalon Lakes in July.
Last season’s champions in u17 were Chaz Ekoniak of Struthers and Kaitlyn Hoover of Wilmington Area. The u14 champs were Kate Sowers of West Middlesex and Dante Turner or Cardinal Mooney.
