Steinwand ready to rock at Greatest DC

We’re glad to welcome Richie Steinwand to GolfLeagueSite Greatest Golfer that is Oct. 17-18 in Maryland! The Columbia resident plays out of Northwest Golf Course and is signed up in the Men’s Open Division. Here’s what Richie says about golf and where it fits in his life: • What’s cool about tournament golf vs. regular golf? The skill it takes to play every shot out of every lie that you’re given and still post a number is definitely high. Dealing with nerves as you hit shots and try to beat people you’re playing with is really fun, too. • What is your BEST golf tale that’s mostly true? Hitting Driver, Driver to 20 feet on the par 5 on the last hole of a tournament, and making the eagle putt to sneak onto the podium in third place. • What’s your WORST golf moment ever? Seeing the Drive, Chip and Putt tournament move the national championship to Augusta National years after I qualified for it when it was just at Disney. • What’s your walkup song to the tee box and why? Rockstar by DaBaby and Roddy Ricch. No explanation needed. • What’s the most vital thing at your home you won’t be doing when playing GLS? Running around with my dog Rory. Once she figures out how to play golf like her namesake, she can just join me on the course. • Send us a photo of you doing the most cool thing you want to show off.
