Day 1 of the ‘Joe’ Dickey Electric Greatest Golfer Junior finals are done, and Ian Tricker, Badger, and Luciana Masters, Hickory, lead the way.
Tricker went 2-under 70 at Squaw Creek to lead the u17 Coaches Burger Bar Division. Trailing him are Nathan Miller, Canfield, 75, and Andrew LaPolla, Warren JFK, 76.
Masters’ 77 leads by one shot in the u17 Girls Lane Funeral Home division over Southeast’s Taylor Blazek, followed by United’s Matilyn Zines, with an 80.
The top 30 players from our summer series are playing a 36-hole championship. They tee up their second round Saturday morning at Avalon Lakes. They will be followed by 18 players in the u14 championship round.

The Greatest juniors series, presented also by Youngstown Tile Retail Design Center and Phantom Fireworks, features 10 events from May 7 to July 20, then a skills championship, followed by a 36-hole finals July 19-20 at Avalon Lakes.
