Van Horn, Hoover, Garwacki, Ross punch Dickey title tickets
The largest field of the summer teed off in the “Joe” Dickey Electric junior Greatest Golfer, and in the end, Bryce Van Horn, Kaitlyn Hoover and Michael Garwacki and Gianna Ross earned seats in the July championships.

Van Horn of JFK shot a 78 — his best score of the summer — in the Joe Nohra Insurance Boys u17 division. He finished third for the day, behind Blake Hood’s 73 and Luke Eyster’s 76 — who have already qualified.
In the Girls u17 Magnolias on the Green division, Kaitlyn Hoover of Wilmington High carded an 85 to earn her seat in the championships. She was 2nd on the day behind Luciana Masters’ 83. Masters already qualified for the finals.
In the Boys u14 Kreps Dry Wall division, Michael Garwacki of South Range High School made a great season debut — winning the day and earning a finals spot by shooting a 78. He edged out Alexander Eckstein by a shot.
In Girls u14 Ambrose Family Eye Care Center play, Gianna Ross of Boardman shot 102 to win a July finals spot. Alyssa Zhang of Shadyside Academy shot 89 to lead the day. She qualified previously.
