And he could not contain his joy talking about his best-ever-round of 73.
“(My game) was unbelievable today. I played really, really … really, really good,” he said. “Putting was strongest part of my game. I made everything. Twenty-footer? Just give it to me.”
Right behind Morelli was Clevelander Mark Sowers with a 76. He tied Struthers’ Chaz Ekoniak, who already has a seat in the finals.
In Girls u17 Magnolias on the Green play, Hickory’s Luciana Masters picked up her Greatest season where her state championship season left off — shooting 75 to win in her first event of season. She’s made Greatest finals the last 3 summers.
Kaitlyn Hoover shot an 80 and Ava Liburdi shot an 84.
