Mill Creek Golf Course hosted the largest field of the year for the ‘Joe’ Dickey Electric juniors series, and 4 teens came out on top.
Bryce Daggett, Alexander Eckstein, Sophia Rivera and Chloe Leskovac all earned spots in the July championships.
Daggett, Canfield, shot 77 to lead the u17 Boys Coaches Burger Bar division. He was followed by Luke Rupeka, Warren JFK, and Chaz Ekoniak, Struthers, at 79.
In the u17 Girls Magnolias on the Green division, Rivera, Boardman, shot an 87 along with Miya Cohol, Canfield. Rivera got the nod in a scorecard playoff. Right behind them at 91 was Gracie Westover, Southeast.
Mick Ambrose, Canfield, and Eckstein, Mooney, battled in the Avalon Pizza u14 Boys play. Ambrose won 77 to Eckstein’s 78. As Ambrose already qualified, the bid goes to Eckstein.
Right behind them was Dante Turner, Mooney, at 81 and Jackson Ensley, Springfield, at 83.
Leskovac, Canfield, shot an 88 to lead the Ambrose Family Eye Center u14 girls division. Right behind her were Lorin Sam, Boardman, at 98 and Natalie Sawicki, Canfield, at 111.
Juniors play is right back at it Wednesday at Pine Lakes Golf Course with 50 juniors teeing off.
